Dr. Paul Colombo
Associate Professor of Psychology, and Director of the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory Laboratory, Tulane University
Dr. Paul Colombo is an Associate Professor of Psychology, and Director of the Neurobiology of Learning and Memory laboratory, at Tulane University, in New Orleans. Dr. Colombo is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association, and his overall research aim is to understand effects of environment and experience on neural and cognitive functions across the lifespan. At Tulane, he founded two student-led organizations, each of which works with non-profit music-based programs for underserved children in New Orleans; Make Music NOLA, and The Roots of Music. Dr. Colombo is currently working with community partner, and Harmony Project of America affiliate, Make Music NOLA, to measure effects of music-based mentoring on self-efficacy, executive functions, and neural markers of plasticity..
